President Prabowo Subianto said Indonesia will launch a national electric motorcycle in the coming weeks. He presented the plan during the Panen Raya TNI dalam Mendukung Program Ketahanan Pangan speech at Lanud Abdulrachman Saleh, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur, on Friday, which was broadcast by Sekretariat Presiden. According to Prabowo, the vehicle is expected to be widely used by the public, including farmers, because it is more efficient and affordable. On the same occasion, he also said Indonesia is targeting a national car made by the nation's own people. The plan is part of efforts to strengthen the domestic automotive and manufacturing industries, while encouraging the use of more environmentally friendly vehicles.
