Prabowo meets Mualem on special funds, Aceh flag

President Prabowo Subianto received Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf, also known as Mualem, at Istana Negara in Jakarta on Wednesday (4/11) to discuss a series of strategic issues for Aceh. The main topics included the continuation of the Special Autonomy Fund, legal certainty over the Aceh flag, and the settlement of the status of Blang Padang waqf land. The meeting was also attended by State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Aceh Governor special staff Teuku Irsyadi. In addition, the two men discussed follow-up to a 2017 presidential letter related to PT Patriot Nusantara Aceh (PATNA), speeding up a decision on Blok Rantau, and a proposal to establish an endowment fund for former fighters of Gerakan Aceh Merdeka. According to Mualem, the President responded positively to the proposal.
