President Prabowo Subianto received former British Prime Minister Tony Blair at his private residence in Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Monday night, 6 July 2026. The Cabinet Secretariat disclosed the meeting through its official Instagram account on Tuesday morning. According to the Cabinet Secretariat, the meeting was warm and served as a reunion between two old friends. Beyond reminiscing, Prabowo and Blair also exchanged views on a range of strategic global developments. Blair was described as a figure who led England for three terms, from 1997 to 2007. The meeting added to Prabowo's recent string of engagements with foreign guests, after receiving Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and welcoming Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport.
