Prabowo forms 7 new prosecutor's offices in 7 regencies by decree
Kejagung is preparing temporary offices and staffing as full operations will be phased in across the seven locations.
President Prabowo Subianto issued Presidential Decree No. 40 Tahun 2026 establishing seven new district prosecutors' offices to strengthen legal services in the regions. The seven offices are in Pangandaran, Kabupaten Serang, Tana Tidung, Kubu Raya, Lima Puluh Kota, Raja Ampat, and Pesisir Barat. Under the decree, all offices will begin operating in stages, while their duties, functions, organizational structure, and working procedures will be set by the Jaksa Agung after approval from the minister in charge of state apparatus. Kejaksaan Agung said it is preparing temporary infrastructure and appointing structural officials and staff so operations can begin soon. Funding will come from the Kejaksaan RI budget, while local governments may provide land for buildings.
