Polri seizes 74 kg of gold and Rp476 billion from Sentul home
The Sentul haul adds to Rp67,2 billion seized earlier in Cipete during searches at 12 locations in a corruption and money-laundering case.
Polri seized 74 kilograms of gold bars and cash and foreign currency worth about Rp476 billion from a house in Parahyangan Golf 2, Sentul, Bogor, in a search tied to alleged corruption and money laundering. Kakortastipidkor Polri Irjen Totok Suharyanto said the items were found in a locked safe that, once opened, contained seven suitcases. The contents included 4.767.300 U.S. dollars, 14.083.800 Singapore dollars and Rp100 million. Investigators also seized documents, mobile phones and family photos believed to be linked to the homeowner and the items in the safe. The search was part of operations at 12 locations in Jakarta and surrounding areas, including Kafe de'Clan Signature and Koin Money Changer in Cipete, which previously yielded Rp67,2 billion.
