Polri Seeks Additional 2027 Budget of Rp 66.1 Trillion
The request covers personnel, operations, capital spending and preparations for security for the 2029 election.
Polri has requested an additional Rp 66.1 trillion for 2027 in a working meeting with Commission III of the DPR at the Parliamentary Complex in Senayan, Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Deputy Chief of Police Dedi Prasetyo said Polri's indicative ceiling for 2027 of Rp 118 trillion covers only about 66 percent of the ideal need, which was initially Rp 178.6 trillion. After adjustments due to higher fuel prices and the rupiah's exchange rate against the U.S. dollar, that need rose to Rp 184 trillion. Of the indicative ceiling, the largest allocations are Rp 72.3 trillion for management support and Rp 25.1 trillion for modernization of equipment and facilities. Polri said the additional request will be submitted to the Ministry of Finance and Bappenas, including for personnel spending, operational costs, capital spending and security for the 2029 election.
