New: 32 tons of water have been delivered to Cisalak 1, while Perumda Cilegon Mandiri is preparing 10 more tankers for Mekarsari.
Polres Cilegon distributed tens of tons of clean water to residents affected by a water crisis caused by the dry season in Pulomerak, Cilegon, Banten. The aid targeted hilly areas that have struggled since late June 2026 to obtain water for drinking and bathing, with priority given to the elderly, toddlers and low-income residents. In Mekarsari, supplies were sent to Lingkungan Tembulum, Gunung Batur 1 and Gunung Batur 2. Perumda Cilegon Mandiri also committed to adding 10 tankers. In Suralaya, 32 tons of water were delivered to Lingkungan Cisalak 1 using Disperkim vehicles. In Lebakgede, 5 of 6 RTs are already connected to Perumda CM pipelines, while one other RT is still supplied from Gunung Penawen. Police and local officials are also promoting new drilled wells and rainwater storage as long-term solutions.
