The sweep runs through Nov. 8 with ETLE cameras, including for drivers using phones, going the wrong way and speeding.
Korlantas Polri began the nationwide Patuh 2026 operation on Monday (26/10), running through Nov. 8. The operation targets 11 traffic violations, with enforcement carried out through Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) cameras. The main targets include using a cellphone while driving, not wearing a seat belt or SNI-standard helmet, violating lane markings and signs, running red lights, driving against traffic and exceeding speed limits. Police will also crack down on motorcycles carrying more than one passenger, vehicles entering busway lanes, parking on sidewalks and the use of vehicle license plates that do not comply with regulations. Korlantas Polri chief Brigjen Pol Aries Syahbudin previously said the operation also emphasizes education and changes in driver behavior.
