Police burn 2-hectare cannabis field in Aceh Utara, 2 arrested
The cannabis field was found in Desa Teupin Rusep, Sawang, and two owners, IL (31) and MH (28), were detained.
Polres Lhokseumawe destroyed a two-hectare cannabis field in Desa Teupin Rusep, Kecamatan Sawang, Aceh Utara, on Thursday (18/6) and arrested two people identified as the owners. During the operation, police burned the cannabis plants at the site and escorted the two suspects, identified as IL, 31, and MH, 28. The operation also involved TNI personnel who helped pull the cannabis stalks from the field area. Photos from the location showed officers questioning the suspects and destroying the plants on the land. The case adds to a growing list of cannabis fields found in Aceh, a region that has often been a focal point for narcotics cases.
