Police to confront Alphard owner, guard after HI incident
Investigators are also examining alleged fake plates and preparing both traffic and criminal charges in the case.
Polda Metro Jaya will summon the owner of a Toyota Alphard and a security guard involved in an argument after the vehicle ran a pedestrian signal at the pelican crossing in front of Hotel Pullman, Bundaran HI, Jakarta Pusat. AKBP Ojo Ruslani, head of the traffic enforcement subdirectorate, said the summons are scheduled for July 24 and 27, after which both sides will be brought together at Subdit Gakkum to verify the sequence of events. Police are also examining the validity of the vehicle documents, including suspicions the car used a fake license plate, as well as possible traffic and criminal violations. Earlier, AKBP Braiel Arnold Rondonuwu, head of Polsek Metro Menteng, said the driver and the guard had been mediated at Pospol Thamrin and agreed to reconcile. Police said they have not found evidence of assault or violence during that mediation.
