Police schedule Ruben Onsu questioning for Aug. 28
Investigators estimate the victim’s losses at Rp3.5 billion and questioned six witnesses before naming Ruben a suspect.
South Jakarta Metro Police have scheduled questioning of Ruben Onsu as a suspect in an alleged fraud and embezzlement case on Friday, Aug. 28, 2026. South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit head AKBP Iskandarsyah said the summons had been prepared, although Ruben’s attendance has not been confirmed. The case stems from a report by a victim identified as DM, who was invited to invest in a business buying and selling products owned by Ruben. The two later signed a cooperation agreement promising profits for the victim. But by the agreed deadline, the profit was not paid. Police suspect the victim’s losses reached Rp3.5 billion. According to police, the case moved to the investigation stage on April 25, 2026 after six witnesses, including an expert, were questioned. After a case review, Ruben’s status was changed to suspect.
