Polda Metro traces funds for molotov materials ahead of DPR demo
Investigators have questioned 63 people, including 10 in a funding and crowd-recruitment cluster tied to the planned protest.
Polda Metro Jaya is tracing the flow of funds allegedly used to buy materials for molotov bombs and sharp weapons ahead of a public demonstration in the DPR/MPR area of Jakarta. The General Crimes Directorate is examining financial transactions, digital communications and other evidence to map the source of the money and the parties involved. Polda Metro Jaya General Crimes Director Kombes Pol Iman Imanuddin said the funds allegedly came from personal money, gifts from others and open donations. So far, police have questioned 63 people; 10 are in the funding cluster and 53 are in the execution cluster. Earlier, police seized 39 sharp weapons, seven jerry cans of gasoline, 201 glass bottles with wicks, an airsoft gun, medicines, communication devices and other materials allegedly prepared for the action around the DPR/MPR.
