Polda Metro Thwarts Shipment of Stolen Motorbike From North Jakarta to Jambi
Police are tracking two fugitives and a possible fence network after intercepting the motorbike sent through a cargo service.
Polda Metro Jaya thwarted the shipment of a motorbike suspected to have been stolen from North Jakarta to Jambi through a cargo service. The motorbike belonging to Haerudin was reported missing in Warakas, Tanjung Priok, on Thursday, June 18. During the investigation by Subdit Ranmor, police received information that a motorbike was about to be shipped out of the area, then coordinated with the cargo company to inspect the vehicle. The check showed the motorbike's data matched the victim's theft report. Police then secured the vehicle for further investigation. The motorbike was returned to its owner on Monday, July 6. Investigators are now pursuing two people on the wanted list and tracing the possible involvement of others in the network shipping stolen vehicles.
