PLN partners with KDKMP for bill payment, token sales
PLN's PPOB service is now used by 107 village and urban cooperatives, creating an added local revenue stream.
PT PLN (Persero) has partnered with Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih to handle electricity bill payments and token purchases for residents. The scheme runs through Payment Point Online Bank (PPOB) services to bring power-related access closer to communities while opening business opportunities for cooperatives. During an operational review of KDKMP in Baki, Sukoharjo, Jawa Tengah, on Tuesday (13/10/2026), Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan said village cooperatives are expected to become centers of economic growth in line with President Prabowo Subianto's direction. PLN Chief Executive Darmawan Prasodjo said the company's support includes electricity supply for cooperative operations and transaction channels for residents. PLN said that as of October 2026, 107 KDKMP have been involved in developing PPOB services.
