PKP Ministry seeks Rp96 trillion more for 2 million homes
The 2027 spending proposal rises to Rp106 trillion, with 97 percent directed to physical programs such as BSPS and apartment blocks.
The Ministry of Housing and Settlements proposed an additional Rp96.09 trillion in 2027 so total spending would reach Rp106 trillion to build and renovate 2,084,460 housing units in Indonesia. Minister Maruarar Sirait told a House of Representatives Commission V working session in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, that the ministry's indicative ceiling now stands at just Rp9.913 trillion. Of the total proposal, Rp102.91 trillion, or 97.09 percent, is allocated to physical programs. The largest share goes to Bantuan Stimulan Perumahan Swadaya at Rp57.29 trillion for about 2.07 million homes, followed by apartment construction at Rp36.94 trillion for 50,000 units, or 421 towers, and post-disaster special housing at Rp8 trillion for 23,410 units.
