Parachute plane crashes in Missouri, killing 12
FAA identified the aircraft as a Pacific Aerospace P750 as NTSB leads the probe into what caused the crash.
A plane carrying 11 skydivers and one pilot crashed moments after takeoff near Butler Memorial Airport, Missouri, on June 14, killing all 12 people aboard. Dennis Jacobs of the Bates County Emergency Management Agency said the private plane departed about 11:30 local time, then turned back for reasons that were not immediately known before going down near a highway. FAA identified the aircraft as a Pacific Aerospace P750, a single-engine plane made in New Zealand. Sheriff Chad Anderson said there was so far no indication of terrorism or criminal activity. National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation with FAA to determine the cause of the crash.
