Perumnas eyes revamp of Kebon Kacang flats to 2,700 units

Perumnas is using PT Informasi Geo Sistem to reach overseas investors, including KIND and KORINDO Group, for the Jakarta Pusat project.

Perum Perumnas is exploring a revamp of Rumah Susun Kebon Kacang in Jakarta Pusat to raise housing capacity for low-income residents from 632 units to more than 2,700 units. The site, now made up of eight low-rise blocks with about 2,400 residents, is considered strategic because it connects to the Thamrin-Sudirman corridor, Halte Thamrin, the MRT Bundaran HI and Dukuh Atas stations, and Stasiun Tanah Abang. In this effort, PT Informasi Geo Sistem is serving as a facilitator to open communication with prospective foreign investors, namely Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation and KORINDO Group. Acting President Director of Perumnas Imelda Alini Pohan said optimizing land in the city center can speed the provision of decent and affordable housing for MBR, while supporting the 3 Juta Rumah program.
