Pertamina reroutes jet fuel supplies to Labuan Bajo after NTT quake
Emergency deliveries are being shipped from Bima by sea, while fueling is also shifted through Lombok, Kupang and Denpasar.
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has diverted jet fuel supplies to Komodo Labuan Bajo Airport after the M 7,7 earthquake in Nusa Tenggara Timur on 15 Agustus disrupted main distribution routes. The disruption affected the route to Aviation Fuel Terminal Komodo Labuan Bajo from Fuel Terminal Reo and also the alternative route from Fuel Terminal Ende. To maintain flight operations, Pertamina is carrying out emergency deliveries from Integrated Terminal Bima using jet fuel tank trucks by sea, although the travel time is longer than normal. The company has also increased refueling at departure airports and prepared alternative airports in Lombok, Kupang and Denpasar. Pertamina Patra Niaga said the measures are needed to keep aid flights, search and rescue flights and commercial flights operating during the recovery period.
