Pertamina tops first-half emissions-cut target by 118 percent

PT Pertamina (Persero) reported that its carbon emissions reduction in the first half of 2026 reached 118 percent above the target set in the 2026 RKAP. According to Vice President Corporate Communication Pertamina Muhammad Baron, the result came from a decarbonization program carried out across all business lines as part of ESG implementation and support for Indonesia's 2060 net zero emission target. In the January-June 2026 period, Pertamina's low-carbon business also reached 101 percent of the RKAP target, supported by bioethanol, biofuel and energy efficiency programs. In addition, governance performance, sustainable procurement, sustainability budget tagging and community empowerment were said to have reached 102 percent of target.
