Pertamina highlights social impact of MSMEs in Klaten, Yogyakarta
Adhimas Batik involves people with speech disabilities, while Joglo Ayu Tenan has expanded its products into Japan.
PT Pertamina (Persero) highlighted the social impact of its MSME partners, not only their business performance. The company pointed to Adhimas Batik in Desa Jarum, Kecamatan Bayat, Klaten, and Joglo Ayu Tenan in Yogyakarta as businesses that broaden economic benefits for surrounding communities. Adhimas Batik, owned by Suyanto and operating for more than 30 years, has turned batik motifs into products including masks, tissue boxes, wooden trays, umbrellas and tumblers. In production, the business also involves local residents, including people with speech disabilities. Meanwhile, Joglo Ayu Tenan, established in 2015, has built a creative space based on creative wellbeing for artisans, women, creative communities and people with disabilities. Through guidance from Pertamina since 2018, the business has expanded its network and marketed its products as far as Japan.
