Pertamina expands support for coastal fishery businesses in Batam
The Kampung Tua Terih program is said to have lifted group income from Rp27,56 juta to Rp68,45 juta.
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga is stepping up support for seafood processing among residents of Kampung Tua Terih, Batam, through the Community Involvement & Development Program Kampung Bahari Si Pelaut. During an Aug. 5, 2026 visit, the company also handed over 1,000 snapper fry and 500 tilapia fry to KUB Terihindo Jaya Lestari and Kelompok Wanita Tani Warisan Lestari. The program involves fishermen, women’s groups and fisheries processors in snapper, pompano and grouper farming, aquaponics, mangrove rehabilitation and processed products. The company said income for fishermen groups and women-led MSMEs rose from Rp27,56 juta to Rp68,45 juta, or an average of about 40 percent per member.
