Pertamina Eco RunFest 2026 to use jerseys from 210,000 bottles
The Manta Liberta collaboration is expected to absorb 2.5 tons of plastic waste at an event with 24,000 participants and visitors.
Pertamina is preparing eco-friendly jerseys for Eco RunFest 2026 through a collaboration with local sports apparel brand Manta Liberta. The jerseys are made from recycled material certified under the global recycle standard and are projected to absorb up to 210,000 plastic bottles, equal to 2.5 tons of waste. PT Pertamina (Persero) Vice President Corporate Communication Muhammad Baron said the move is part of a commitment to make the event prioritize waste management and environmental aspects. Eco RunFest 2026 is expected to involve around 14,000 runners and 10,000 visitors to the Energizing Music Festival. Manta Liberta co-founder Aldy Nur Prastya said the jersey material is also designed with anti bacterial, anti odor and moisture wicking features. The eco jersey is one of seven sustainability initiatives at the event.
