Pertamina builds emergency classrooms for 192 students at SMPN 19 Bengkulu
The temporary facility lets students resume more normal classes after a fire forced them into two shifts.
Pertamina Patra Niaga built emergency learning spaces at SMPN 19 Kota Bengkulu, Kelurahan Padang Serai, Kecamatan Kampung Melayu, after a fire reduced the school's classroom capacity. The temporary facilities, handed over on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, include four tents, 160 desks and chairs, six whiteboards and six blower fans. Before the aid arrived, 192 students had to study in two shifts, morning and afternoon. The company said the emergency rooms were prepared through its social and environmental responsibility program to keep teaching and learning activities running while school facilities are restored. The event also included energy education and safety training by the Health, Safety, Security & Environment team, including drills on fire awareness.
