Persib beat Persija 2-1 to reach Piala Presiden 2026 final
Persib return to the tournament final after 11 years and await the winner of Persebaya against Arema FC.
Persib Bandung advanced to the Piala Presiden 2026 final after defeating Persija Jakarta 2-1 in the semifinal at Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, on Tuesday. Igor Tolic's team took an early lead through a first-half goal from Uilliam Barros Pereira, then doubled the score on a Balsa Sekulic penalty after a foul was called by the referee. Persija pressed in the second half and cut the deficit through Kwon Chang-hoon in the 85th minute, but could not level the match before the final whistle. The victory sends Persib back to the Piala Presiden final after an 11-year wait. Persib's opponent will be decided by the other semifinal between Persebaya and Arema FC at the same venue.
