Government to revitalize SDN Tanggirejo Grobogan in 2026
The badly damaged school is among three top priorities as the government targets repairs to 71,744 schools nationwide this year.
The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education will revitalize SDN Tanggirejo in Grobogan Regency, Central Java, which has suffered severe damage since January 2026. Gogot Suharwoto, Director General of Early Childhood Education, Nonformal Education, and Informal Education, said coordination has been underway with the principal, the education office, and the Central Java Provincial Center for Educational Quality Assurance. In the near future, the principal will be invited to Jakarta to sign a revitalization cooperation agreement. SDN Tanggirejo is one of the program's three main priorities, along with schools affected by disasters, schools in 3T areas, and schools with severe damage. Nationally, the government aims to revitalize 71,744 schools in 2026, up from an initial target of 11,744 schools.
