Pejompongan-Slipi toll access reopens, DPR traffic normalizes
The Pejompongan and Slipi toll gates were briefly shut this morning after continued street action, then reopened at 08.08 WIB.
Traffic around the DPR/MPR building in Central Jakarta returned to normal on Friday morning after the Aug. 27 protest. The Direktorat Lalu Lintas Polda Metro Jaya said there were no further vehicle diversions in the area. Firman Darmansyah, Director of Traffic at Polda Metro Jaya, said traffic conditions had recovered after the previous day’s unrest. A new concentration of people briefly formed on the Pejompongan-Slipi arterial road in the morning, prompting a temporary closure of access to Gerbang Tol Pejompongan and Gerbang Tol Slipi 1 toward Grogol. Jasa Marga also imposed situational opening and closing at the Pejompongan exit, KM 09+700 toward Grogol. At 08.08 WIB, Jasa Marga reported the access had reopened because conditions had returned to normal.
