Paul Pogba close to early contract exit from Monaco
New: The French midfielder has made only six appearances, with injuries and a coaching change disrupting his first season.
Paul Pogba is expected to part ways with AS Monaco soon after both sides discussed an early contract termination. The French midfielder only joined in June 2025 on a two-year deal, after being allowed to return to action when his doping ban was reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. According to BBC, talks over an early exit are under way and could be completed soon. Monaco has not commented. Pogba's first season at the Ligue 1 club has not gone smoothly because of injury, and he has made only six appearances. The situation also changed after Filipe Luis replaced Sebastien Pocognoli, a move that could alter Monaco's plans in midfield. If an agreement is reached, Pogba will once again be a free agent.
