Part-time PPPK in multiple fields to become full-time in 2027

The government has decided that part-time PPPK in multiple professions will be converted to full-time PPPK starting Jan. 1, 2027. The decision was made in a coordination meeting between the government and House leadership at the parliament complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday. State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said the policy applies to a range of professions, including lecturers, firefighters, Satpol PP, health or medical workers, technical staff, and other service and operational personnel. Previously, a similar scheme covered only part-time PPPK teachers. The government also will allow full-time PPPK to take part in the 2027 CPNS selection. Prasetyo said the selection will include special treatment, especially on age limits. In the same meeting, the government and the House also agreed to extend the work contracts of 172.323 non-ASN teachers in Dapodik and 2.482 instructors under the Ministry of Religious Affairs whose terms expire in December 2026.
