Parking attendant in Palu dies after being shot by Propam member
Police said Aipda AA fired 7-8 rounds, and another resident was wounded in the neck by a suspected stray bullet.
A minimarket parking attendant named Dedi died after being shot by a member of the Polda Sulawesi Tengah Propam, Aipda AA, in a parking dispute in Palu on Thursday night, Aug. 27. Police said the confrontation began after AA finished shopping at a minimarket near the Gorontalo food stall and was approached by Dedi. In the initial account, Dedi then attacked with a machete, injuring AA's right hand and severing the ring finger on his left hand. AA drew an HS pistol, fired one warning shot, then shot toward Dedi while he was still being chased. AKP Ismailboby, head of criminal investigations at the Polresta Palu, said AA fired about seven to eight rounds. Another resident, identified by the initials MA, was also injured in the neck, allegedly hit by a stray bullet while looking through a window. The case is now under investigation, including whether there was a violation of firearms use procedures.
