PAN lawmaker H.A. Bakri dies at Siloam Hospital
He served on House Commission V for the Jambi district and also held the position of PAN DPP chairman.
H.A. Bakri, a member of the House of Representatives from the National Mandate Party, died at Siloam Hospital on Tuesday, July 28. News of the death of the politician, who sat on House Commission V, was confirmed in a PAN post and repeated by MPR Deputy Speaker Eddy Soeparno. H.A. Bakri represented the Jambi electoral district in the House and had served as a lawmaker for four terms since Oct. 1, 2009. In addition to his work in parliament, he also served as chairman of the PAN DPP. CNBC Indonesia wrote that H.A. Bakri was born in Pulau Kijang, Indragiri Hilir, Riau, on May 15, 1968. During his career in Jambi, he had led Gapensi, HIPMI and Kadin.
