Otorita IKN swears in 555 first civil servants in KIPP Nusantara
The 20-35-year-old recruits are being prepared to help run government and community life in the new capital.
Otorita Ibu Kota Nusantara swore in 555 candidates for civil servants as the first batch of PNS assigned to work in IKN, Monday (8/6), at Taman Kusuma Bangsa in the Kawasan Inti Pusat Pemerintahan Nusantara, Penajam Paser Utara, Kalimantan Timur. Otorita IKN head Basuki Hadimuljono said the ceremony marked an early milestone because Otorita IKN now has personnel recruited and trained specifically to support development and governance in the new capital. The employees came from various regions and were aged 20 to 35. Basuki stressed four traits they must build: competence, integrity, loyalty to their profession and innovation. Before being appointed as PNS, they also underwent training with guidance from Grup 4 Komando Pasukan Khusus.
