OJK targets 98% financial inclusion in Indonesia by 2045

SNLIK 2026 found student financial literacy at 62.72% and inclusion at 92.76%, below national averages.

Otoritas Jasa Keuangan aims to lift national financial inclusion to 98% by 2045, in line with RPJPN 2025-2045. OJK Board of Commissioners Chair Friderica Widyasari Dewi delivered the target at Hari Indonesia Menabung in Bekasi on Friday. OJK said students and university students remain priority groups because their financial literacy and inclusion lag national levels. SNLIK 2026 showed financial literacy among students and university students at 62.72%, below the national rate of 69.57%. Their financial inclusion was 92.76%, also below the national figure of 93.61%. OJK said improving outcomes for school-age groups is important because they make up a large share of Indonesia's population structure.
