Nvidia explores investment or chip deal with Reflection AI
What's new: The talks could deepen Nvidia's push into open-weight AI as Reflection seeks computing power after billion-dollar deals with SpaceX and Nebius.
Nvidia is in early talks to deepen ties with US startup Reflection AI through a larger investment or an agreement to supply more computing power, according to The Business Times, citing a person familiar with the matter. Possible structures under discussion include an equity increase, a chip-supply arrangement or an acqui-hire that would bring in staff and license technology. Reflection this month released Beam, an open-weight model aimed at coding and AI agent work. The startup, founded by two former Google DeepMind researchers, has also held talks to raise $2.5 billion at a $25 billion valuation and signed billion-dollar computing deals with SpaceX and Nebius Group.
