BTN mortgage NPL falls to 2.8% in Q1 2026
BTN’s overall NPL ratio also improved to 3.1% from 3.3%, helped by underwriting, verification and loan digitization.
PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk recorded a nonperforming loan ratio in its home ownership loan segment of 2.8% in the first quarter of 2026, down from 3.0% in the same period a year earlier. Through the end of March 2026, BTN’s overall NPL ratio also improved to 3.1% from 3.3%. BTN Risk Management Director Setiyo Wibowo said the better financing quality was supported by a series of transformations in recent years, including stronger underwriting, improved verification, digitalization of the credit process, use of data analytics and post-disbursement portfolio management. BTN has also developed BTN Loan Factory as a nationwide integrated consumer lending processing center. Bahana Sekuritas analyst Razqi M. Kurniawan said the improvement in the first quarter was one of the key results from the facility’s operations.
