North Sumatera allocates Rp1.13 trillion in extra TKD post-disaster

Nearly 70 percent, or Rp777.41 billion, goes to roads, bridges, river embankments and special housing.

The North Sumatera provincial government has allocated an additional 2026 Transfer to Daerah of Rp1.13 trillion to speed post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction. The basis is set out in North Sumatera Governor Regulation No. 17 of 2026, enacted on 7 May and updated through Governor Regulation No. 22 of 2026 on 13 July 2026. North Sumatera Governor Bobby Nasution said the largest share, Rp777.41 billion, or almost 70 percent, is earmarked for infrastructure, including road and bridge repairs, reinforcement of river embankments, and construction of special housing and supporting facilities. Education receives Rp190.54 billion, health Rp91.58 billion and agriculture Rp35.49 billion. In Padangsidimpuan, construction of 100 permanent housing units has reportedly reached the land-preparation stage. The budget use refers to Home Affairs Minister Circular Letter No. 900.1.3/1084/SJ.
