New allegations hit Maine Senate nominee Graham Platner
What's new: A woman posted claims about a 2021 relationship, adding to scrutiny days after Platner won the Democratic nomination.
Fresh allegations against Democratic Senate nominee Graham Platner surfaced in Maine just after his primary victory. A woman posting on X said she briefly dated Platner in 2021 after meeting him on Tinder and accused him of lying, manipulation and changing his account of a controversial chest tattoo. The post adds to questions already dogging Platner as he prepares to challenge Republican Sen. Susan Collins. Fox News reported the campaign responded by repeating that Platner had said he chose the skull-and-crossbones tattoo in Croatia without knowing its Nazi SS associations, later covered it up and answered questions about it. The new claims emerged a day after Platner became the party's nominee.
