Netanyahu rejects Trump’s 15-point Gaza peace plan

Hamas still says it is ready to carry out the roadmap, while Israel refuses to withdraw troops before full disarmament.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected the 15-point document proposed by the Peace Council formed by U.S. President Donald Trump to end the war in the Gaza Strip. At a cabinet meeting on Sunday, Netanyahu said Israel would not withdraw its troops until Hamas fully disarms. The plan, announced by Trump on July 30, calls for Hamas and other armed groups to disarm, a phased withdrawal of the Israeli military and the transfer of Gaza’s administration to the National Committee for Gaza Administration backed by international security forces. On the other hand, Hamas political bureau member Bassemm Naim said the group remained committed to carrying out the roadmap and urged mediators and guarantors to pressure Israel to comply.
