Naturalization fee for foreign nationals rises to Rp75 million
PP 30/2026 also sets Rp25 million for citizenship through marriage and takes effect 30 days after promulgation.
The government has raised the naturalization fee for foreign nationals seeking Indonesian citizenship from Rp50 million to Rp75 million per application. The increase is set out in Government Regulation No. 30/2026 on the types and rates of non-tax state revenue that apply at the Ministry of Law. The regulation was signed by President Prabowo Subianto on 2 July 2026 and takes effect 30 days after promulgation. In addition to general naturalization, the PP sets the citizenship-by-marriage fee at Rp25 million, up from Rp15 million. Applications for voluntary loss of Indonesian citizenship will cost Rp5 million, while the decree on loss of citizenship carries a Rp3,500,000 charge. Applications to regain Indonesian citizenship are set at Rp1 million.
