National Children’s Day 2026 centers on child protection

National Children’s Day 2026, observed on July 23, carries the theme “Love Children, Protect Them, and Build the Future.” The 42nd observance is framed as a reminder that fulfilling children’s rights and protecting them from violence cannot stop at ceremonial events. The theme carries three main messages. “Love Children” emphasizes positive parenting, emotional support and a safe environment. “Protect Them” highlights the need to prevent violence, exploitation, neglect, discrimination, bullying, child marriage and threats in digital spaces. “Build the Future” stresses access to education, health care and room for children’s talents and creativity.
