Corruption convict Prasetyo dies at Kebonwaru Detention Center Bandung
Prasetyo was taken to Santo Yusuf Hospital after collapsing, but doctors pronounced him dead at about 08.00.
Corruption convict Prasetyo died at Kebonwaru Detention Center in Bandung on Thursday morning after suffering a heart attack. Kebonwaru Detention Center head Mashuri Alwi said Prasetyo was taken to Santo Yusuf Hospital, but doctors pronounced him dead at about 08.00. According to Mashuri, Prasetyo had been in good condition, went to the bathroom and then ate chicken porridge before collapsing. He said Prasetyo had a history of heart disease while serving his sentence and regularly went to the hospital for monthly checkups. Prasetyo was transferred from Warungkiara Prison in Sukabumi to Kebonwaru Detention Center on 11 September 2025. He was a former head of the Sukabumi Regency Environmental Agency and had been convicted in a corruption case involving the maintenance of garbage transport vehicles.
