Mynt rises in debut after record 60.9 billion peso Philippine IPO
Why it matters: The GCash operator pulled off Southeast Asia’s biggest 2026 listing as the broader Philippine market slipped.
Mynt, the parent of mobile wallet GCash, rose in its market debut Tuesday after raising 60.9 billion pesos, or about $966 million, in the biggest initial public offering ever in the Philippines. Shares opened at 6.63 pesos, above the 6.60 peso offer price, and climbed as high as 6.74 pesos in early trading even as the Philippine Stock Exchange index edged lower. The deal topped Monde Nissin’s 52.2 billion peso IPO in 2021 and ranked as Southeast Asia’s largest listing this year. Backed by Globe Telecom, Ant Group and Ayala Corp, Mynt said proceeds will fund digital financial services growth and product development. Its prospectus showed 41.5 million monthly active users as of June 30.
