Starting in July, all tax administration must use Coretax
Working papers for supervision, collections, objections and appeals will gradually no longer be allowed on personal devices.
The Directorate General of Taxes will require all tax administration processes to run through the Coretax system starting in July 2026. Director General of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto said Coretax is now the core system for supervision working papers, law enforcement, collections, and objection and appeal proceedings, which will gradually be handled only on the platform. The move is intended to strengthen governance and end the practice of preparing documents outside the system, including on personal laptops, tablets or phones. DJP is also preparing data interoperability with Bea Cukai, Direktorat Jenderal Perbendaharaan and third-party data portals to make tax oversight more structured. As of July 2026, DJP said 13.635.007 2025 annual tax returns had been filed, with an average of 82.636 returns per day.
