Missouri flooding kills 1 as more than 350 people are rescued

What's next: More rain is forecast in saturated areas after 6 to 12 inches fell, raising the risk of new flash flooding this weekend.

Flooding in Missouri left one woman dead and forced more than 350 rescues after heavy rain swamped parts of the state. In Crawford County, authorities found Faith Gregory dead Saturday about 2 miles downstream from her home after floodwaters swept away a house. In Reynolds County, 168 campers and 60 adults were evacuated from Camp Taum Sauk after roads washed out near Lesterville. Helicopters from the National Guard took them to safety as crews responded across the region. At the nearby Bearcat Getaway campground, people who climbed onto a building to escape the water were also rescued after it gave way. The state declared an emergency Friday, and forecasters warned additional rain could worsen conditions in already hard-hit areas.
