Minor weighs Singapore IPO for restaurant unit over Hong Kong
What's new: the listing could raise more than $400 million, though the company has not made a final venue decision.
Thai hospitality group Minor International is considering a Singapore initial public offering for Minor Food Group, shifting from an earlier plan that weighed Hong Kong for the restaurant business. People familiar with the matter said financial advisers are working on the proposal, but deliberations are ongoing and no final decision has been made. Minor Food operates brands including Burger King, Dairy Queen and The Pizza Company, and says it has about 2,700 outlets across 24 countries. Hong Kong has raised more than $22 billion in IPOs this year, far ahead of Singapore's roughly $912 million, but Singapore's Straits Times Index has risen 7% in 2026 while Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index has fallen about 5%.
