Meta cuts AI smart-glasses entry price to $299 with new line
What's new: The glasses are Meta's first without Ray-Ban or Oakley branding and ship with its Muse Spark AI model.
Meta Platforms rolled out a lower-priced line of AI smart glasses starting at $299, widening its push to make wearable AI devices more mainstream. The new Meta Glasses were developed with EssilorLuxottica but do not carry Ray-Ban or Oakley branding, marking the first model in the partnership to stand on Meta's own name. The glasses include a camera and speakers for photos, video and voice interactions with Meta AI, and launch with the company's Muse Spark model. Meta introduced three new frame designs, including a slim oval style tied to Kylie Jenner, plus a charging stand. The move comes as Google and Snap step up competing smart-glasses efforts.
