Menkum seeks Prabowo directive on illegal mining backing
Supratman said the order needs no further validation and applies across the government, not only to TNI-Polri.
Law Minister Supratman Andi Agtas called for President Prabowo Subianto's directive on alleged involvement of officials in illegal mining to be carried out immediately by all levels of government. After the Annual Session of the MPR RI and the Joint Session of the DPR RI-DPD RI at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Friday, Supratman said the presidential instruction does not need to wait for validation from others. He said the message was not aimed only at TNI and Polri, but at all presidential aides within their authority. Supratman also said Prabowo has repeatedly reminded officials to be careful and not act against the interests of the people, and that he will not defend officials who deviate.
