MBG program resumes after break as BGN inspects kitchens, schools
BGN inspected schools and SPPG in Jakarta to check distribution accuracy, food safety, and animal protein on the menu.
The Free Nutritious Meals program resumed deliveries to schools after being halted during the school holiday. On the first day back, the National Nutrition Agency inspected several schools and Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units in Jakarta to check distribution, menu quality, and food safety. Deputy head Agustina Arumsari said the pause was used to improve governance and operations, including delivery timeliness and coordination in the field. Deputy head Trenggono also visited SDN Cikini 01, SDN Cikini 02, SMA Muhammadiyah 1, and SPPG in Menteng Pegangsaan and Johar Baru Kampung Rawa. BGN stressed that the menu must still include animal protein and that supplies should, as much as possible, come from UMKM and local food sources.
