The France forward became the first player to win the World Cup Golden Boot twice, after also finishing top scorer in 2022.
Kylian Mbappe won the 2026 World Cup Golden Boot after finishing the tournament as the top scorer with 10 goals. The France and Real Madrid forward finished ahead of Argentina’s Lionel Messi, who ended with eight goals, while Jude Bellingham placed third with seven goals, ahead of FIFA’s ranking of Erling Haaland, who also scored seven. The result became official after Messi failed to add to his tally in the final. According to Republika, Mbappe secured the top spot with two goals in the third-place match against England in Miami on 18 July local time. Although France did not win the title, Mbappe also took home the Bronze Ball for his performances throughout the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
