Manchester United agree to sign Andrey Santos from Chelsea
New: MU will pay 48 million pounds plus 2 million pounds in add-ons, while Chelsea keep a 10 percent sell-on clause.
Manchester United have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos in the summer transfer window. According to reports cited by BBC Sport and The Athletic, United will pay 48 million pounds plus 2 million pounds in realistic add-ons, while Chelsea retain a 10 percent sell-on clause. Santos, 22, has already agreed personal terms and has been given permission to undergo a medical. The move comes after United lost Casemiro when his contract expired and with Manuel Ugarte expected to be out for a long spell because of a knee ligament injury. Santos made 43 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring three goals and providing four assists, after loan spells at Nottingham Forest and Strasbourg.
