Man set fire at NYC federal building housing ICE court, FBI probes

What's new: Two people suffered minor injuries, and investigators said the suspect carried pellet guns, fireworks and a manifesto.

A man was taken into custody Monday after pouring gasoline on the steps of 26 Federal Plaza in lower Manhattan and igniting the area with fireworks, setting a fire outside a federal building that houses an immigration court, FBI offices and other federal agencies. Authorities said a Federal Protective Service officer and a civilian were treated for minor injuries and released. The FBI's New York Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating. ABC video and wire photos showed the suspect being stopped as smoke rose from the entrance. DHS said officers recovered two pellet guns, fireworks, a manifesto and a sign reading "ICE off our streets."
